I started playing guitar when I was 13. I learnt to play You Are My Sunshine on a nylon string guitar that was given to me as a gift by a friend of my parents.

A few years went by and I started a band. A loud fuzzy grunge rock band playing cover songs while we tried to write our own material. Apart from writing songs, I also started working on drawing a logo for our new band. It felt just as important to me as the songs. I drew different versions, and tried different colour schemes until I had it just right.

Throughout the numerous bands I have been in since, I have always enjoyed designing the logo as much as playing and writing the music. I really enjoy bringing the feel of the music into a visual medium.

After working in the print industry for a number of years, and then as a custom picture framer for a while as well, I decided to make my passion for design a little more professional.
